Monday Update on Weekend Activities

No pictures today but lots of garden activity over the weekend. Hattie and I went to WalMart and picked up some Garden Soil, which has peat moss and steer manure in it. We're hoping that it will work, and it looks like it will.

On Friday I went up to 40th and Indian School in Phoenix to find some "coarse" vermiculite. There's "fine" everywhere, but you have to hunt a little for the coarse stuff. Everyone who has done this before says it works best, and after spending all this money and time, we want the best.

Hattie's boxes are filled and ready to plant after some wetting. She put them on the east side of the house behind where they (and the rest of you) have lived. There used to be a little green lawn there, but they've been using it for a parking lot, so it is just dirt now with a little grass around the edges.

Near where the boxes are is a spigot for water that will do just nicely.

Jenny Stinocher across the street has her's all ready to plant for FHE tonight. Hattie may do so, also.

I still have to work on that today when I get home.

That's an update from Grandpa.

Lucy likes to wear her panties where they fit the best, I guess. Of course, her mother wasn't involved in this one at all....

Here's crazy Tate at the July 4th party in Texas last year. Sometimes the orneriness just HAS to come out...or one might explode!

She is so photogenic, don'tcha think? This was taken last July 4th in Texas and the colors are so brilliant...and the little girl, too, don'tcha know!

This little guy is so much like his father. When he looks at stuff, he is so intense and just stares and stares, totally oblivious to anything else. Reminds me of Jake.

The New Year has kinda started out like this....

Being sick is NO fun. I've had that horrible cold/almost flu/pneumonia sickness that has been so rampant this past few weeks. Made Christmas vacation kinda yukky. Didn't die, however, so all is well.
